Glizzy The Tweaker was shot dead by a CCL holder at 89th and Michigan.

 

When authorities arrived, they discovered a 19-year-old boy named Mekhi Moore, also known as "Glizzy Da Tweaker" from Dottie Road, lying in the roadway with several gunshot wounds to the chest. Moore was shot four times, according to police. He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was declared dead despite life-saving measures. Read more here.

Moore was reportedly part of a group that attempted a robbery at a home that was being renovated. A licensed construction contractor with a valid Concealed Carry License (CCL) was present at the scene and opened fire on the suspected perpetrators.
Police state that the remaining suspects fled the scene in a vehicle before officers arrived. Two firearms were recovered at the location.
