Authorities in Minnesota have arrested 22-year-old Kelvin Luebke after discovering he allegedly used a false identity to enroll as a student at White Bear Lake High School and join the school’s football team.

Kelvin Luebke, Minnesota 22 year old man arrested faking his way into White Bear Lake high school and football team with reports now indicating the man may have also faked his way into other local high schools prior.
Luebke, who went by the name “KJ” among students and staff, is accused of submitting fraudulent documents, including a birth certificate and proof of address, to bypass the school district’s enrollment process. White Bear Lake High School principal Russ Reetz confirmed that while the district’s process was followed, the suspect used forged paperwork to gain entry.

The arrest came after officials were alerted that Luebke, already facing unrelated charges of theft and lewdness, was an adult over the age of 21 posing as a teenager.

He has since been banned from district property.

Concerns from parents have grown after it emerged that Luebke previously faked his way into Forest Lake High School, where he played football in 2022 before leaving in 2023. Authorities are investigating whether his actions were part of a broader pattern of targeting schools in the Twin Cities area.

Adding to the alarm, court records show Luebke was convicted in 2023 for sending explicit material to a 15-year-old girl, raising fears that his enrollment was a means to prey on underage students.

Luebke is currently being held in Anoka County Jail and may face charges of fraud, forgery, and misconduct involving minors. The incident has sparked questions from parents about school safety and how enrollment safeguards could have been bypassed.
