Luebke, who went by the name “KJ” among students and staff, is accused of submitting fraudulent documents, including a birth certificate and proof of address, to bypass the school district’s enrollment process. White Bear Lake High School principal Russ Reetz confirmed that while the district’s process was followed, the suspect used forged paperwork to gain entry.
The arrest came after officials were alerted that Luebke, already facing unrelated charges of theft and lewdness, was an adult over the age of 21 posing as a teenager.
He has since been banned from district property.

Adding to the alarm, court records show Luebke was convicted in 2023 for sending explicit material to a 15-year-old girl, raising fears that his enrollment was a means to prey on underage students.
Luebke is currently being held in Anoka County Jail and may face charges of fraud, forgery, and misconduct involving minors. The incident has sparked questions from parents about school safety and how enrollment safeguards could have been bypassed.
