Suspects, Adrian Bryan with Price Thornton, celebrate on Snapchat after beating August Borden to ICU in Deshler High School
According to reports, Adrian Bryan and Price Thornton violently assaulted August Borden before slamming him to the ground for confronting Price Thornton's pedophile lifestyle.

Price Thornton is believed to be dating a 13-year-old girl.

Madison County District Attorney Rob Broussard confirmed Wednesday that no criminal charges will be filed in the incident that gravely injured 15-year-old Deshler High School student August Borden in August.

Investigators found that this was a terrible accident and not a crime. According to officials, August and another football player were joking about after practice when his teammate gave him a playful "bear hug." Moments later, August collapsed, tripped on uneven concrete, and suffered a severe head injury.

Despite early speculation and conflicting stories, investigators conducted 17 interviews and reviewed texts from the time of the incident. They concluded there was no evidence of malice, anger, or intent to harm. Chief Deputy District Attorney Tim Gann called it a “freak, unfortunate accident.”

August’s family has expressed disappointment that no charges will be pursued, but said they were receptive to the findings.

August was airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Birmingham on August 19. He has since returned home and continues to recover, though he still doesn’t remember the moment of the fall.
