Thando Mokoena (22) and Lerato Nkosi (19) are thought to have been shot dead early Sunday morning.
Their bodies were discovered laying next to each other on the street by residents.
The authorities have yet to establish the victims' identities.
The Gauteng police have opened an inquiry into the murders of two girls.
