Kenyunte W. Goss faces charges of driving with a suspended, revoked, or cancelled license, as well as financial responsibility. Around 4 p.m., officers responded to a pedestrian who had been struck at Signal Street and Whitney Avenue.
Police say Goss was driving westbound on Whitney Avenue when the front end of her Chrysler 200 collided with the victim, who was in the westbound line of traffic.
Goss remained on the scene.The boy was sent to LeBonheur Children's Hospital in critical condition, where he was confirmed dead.
Goss does not have a court date or bond set at this time.
