Bianca Huntley, 34, a manager at DHL, was traveling northbound along Interstate 75 near North Central Avenue Southwest at approximately 6:15 PM on Tuesday, April 14, when she was struck by a gunshot while behind the wheel of her white BMW SUV. Atlanta Police Department officers responded to reports of a person shot and arrived to find Huntley inside her vehicle, critically wounded. She was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
The scene painted a haunting picture — her SUV was found pulled over in the median of the highway, its turn signal still blinking when officers arrived. Investigators from the department's homicide unit are working to pinpoint exactly where along the interstate the shooting occurred, given the busy traffic conditions at the time.
Huntley's mother, Gloria Allen, has spoken out publicly, stating that she does not believe the shooting was a random act of road rage. Instead, she is convinced that her daughter was the victim of a deliberate and targeted attack, a claim that investigators have not yet confirmed or ruled out.
No arrests have been made and no suspects have been publicly identified at this time. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as the investigation remains actively ongoing.
