On December 22, 2024, a man called Isaiah Ortiz severely SA'ed and beat a woman named Hailey Valdez of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Her illness was so serious that she needed to be airlifted to the hospital.

A rape kit was completed, which purportedly revealed forcible intercourse, edema, and lacerations. On the exterior, she had considerable bruising on her thighs and legs, as well as a choking mark on her neck.

A witness allegedly informed police that she took the victim home that night, and when she entered her room, Ortiz awoke and grabbed the victim's head, dragging it down towards his genitals. The victim pleaded for him to stop, and he flung her to the floor.The witness then dashed to her car to telephone for assistance, only to find Ortiz had locked the door behind her.

When police came about 10-15 minutes later, they discovered Ortiz wearing only socks and wailing over the victim, who lay bloodied and unresponsive. One officer apparently indicated that they initially believed she was dead.

When she awoke, she recognized her child's father, Ortiz, as the offender. He was detained and charged with second-degree criminal sexual penetration, aggravated battery with physical harm to a household member, and attempted escape from police custody.

The matter went to trial after he entered a not guilty plea, but on September 10th, the victim received a call from the prosecutor informing her that Ortiz had been offered a plea bargain of four years in jail in exchange for admitting to the attempted escape and abuse charges. The plea agreement was approved by a judge on September 12. The SA charge was withdrawn. He will not be required to register as a sexual offender as a result.

She was not even given a voice. Where is the justice?
