Dallas Walmart Shooting Leaves Two Women Injured Before Gunman Takes His Own Life

A violent incident at a Dallas Walmart Supercenter on Wednesday left two women injured and the shooter dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after attacking his romantic partner in the store’s parking lot.

According to Dallas police, the gunman followed his partner to the Walmart on Forest Lane near Interstate 635, confronted her in the crowded parking lot, and opened fire. The woman was grazed by a bullet, while a female bystander was also struck. Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital and were reported to be stable.

Witnesses said the suspect arrived in a black sedan, stepped out, and began chasing the woman between parked cars while shooting repeatedly. Bystanders, including Walmart employees, rushed to assist as the wounded woman cried out for help.

After firing three to four shots, the man returned to his vehicle and fatally shot himself. Police later recovered two firearms from the car.

The shooter’s identity and the names of the two injured women have not been released. Authorities have not disclosed what led to the confrontation or the motive behind the attack.

The Walmart Supercenter, located in the Lake Highlands area near the Richardson border, remained an active crime scene as Dallas police continued their investigation.
