Fiancé and Sister of Missing Michigan Woman Found Dead Now in Custody Ahead of Arraignment

The fiancé and younger sister of a Michigan woman who was nine months pregnant and later found dead have been taken into custody, according to booking records from the Wexford County Jail.

Richard Lee Falor, fiancé of 22-year-old Rebecca Kay Park, was arrested hours after authorities discovered Park’s remains in the Manistee National Forest in Boon Township. Park had been missing since Nov. 4 and was just days away from her expected due date.

Also detained is Park’s 21-year-old sister, Kimberly Sue Park. Both individuals are being held while awaiting arraignment, though the charges against them have not yet been disclosed, The Sun reported.

Falor, 43, is a convicted sex offender listed as non-compliant on the Michigan Sex Offender Registry. Records show he was arrested around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Kimberly was taken into custody early Wednesday morning.

Park was last seen getting into a vehicle outside her mother’s home the day before she was reported missing. Investigators said she received $2,000 from a family inheritance that same day. Her phone was discovered two days later near the home.

Earlier statements from the Wexford County Sheriff’s Office indicated there was no direct evidence of assault, and deputies dismissed online rumors about bloody clothing. Falor previously told local station WWTV that Park had mentioned needing to meet someone the night she disappeared and apologized to her mother before leaving.

Authorities are now awaiting autopsy results to determine the cause and manner of Park’s death. Officials have not commented on whether foul play is suspected.
