Ramos-Figueroa faces two felony charges — distributing obscene material to a minor and transmitting harmful content — which investigators say occurred while she was employed as a P.E. teacher at Central Pointe Christian Academy’s Kissimmee campus.
The case began when the victim’s mother contacted law enforcement, alleging that Ramos-Figueroa had engaged in inappropriate communication with her 13-year-old son in mid-October. Detectives later interviewed the teen and collected text messages and images he said were sent by the teacher.
Authorities say Ramos-Figueroa admitted during questioning that she had texted the student and sent him a photo. She was subsequently taken to the Osceola County Jail, where she awaits her first court appearance and a bond determination. It remains unknown whether she has secured legal counsel.
