Simon Mogomotsi Molokoane was found dead in the river Luka after killing his wife, Kopano Pleasure Molokoane.

 

RUSTENBURG – The body of Simon Mogomotsi Molokoane (43), who was being sought in connection with the alleged murder of his wife, Kopano Pleasure Molokoane, has been recovered from a dam in the Luka, Tlebebe Section.

His Nissan NP300 work bakkie was found abandoned near the dam on Tuesday, prompting a search of the area. Authorities believe Molokoane may have taken his own life by entering the water.

He had been on the run since the killing of his wife in Phokeng, which sparked an extensive police search. Investigations are ongoing.
