Police spokesperson Col. Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi confirmed the arrest on Wednesday, noting that the suspect was taken into custody and formally charged.
The two women were shot dead inside the school’s administration block on Tuesday afternoon while preparing for an upcoming meeting. Police say a gunman entered the office and opened fire shortly after 16:15 on 18 November, with both victims pronounced dead at the scene.
The motive for the attack has not yet been established, and investigators are still determining whether the suspect acted alone or with others.
According to additional reports, the arrested woman was found with a substantial amount of cash and evidence of financial transactions allegedly linking the school’s account to her personal bank account. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the killings.
