Nebraska Couple Charged in Killing of Half-Brother and Family

Authorities in Nebraska say Sayde James and her partner, Sterling James, are facing charges in connection with the deaths of Sterling’s half-brother and his family.

According to investigators, location data and witness statements place the couple at the Lincoln apartment shared by Sterling James and Sayde Titus shortly before 7 p.m. on January 15. Police confirmed that Sterling James and one of the victims were half-brothers.

Investigators reported that during the execution of a search warrant at the apartment, Sterling James admitted to shooting Neville and Tanner and burying their bodies. Authorities believe Sayde Titus assisted in concealing the bodies.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said Neville was last seen in Stromsburg, Nebraska, earlier that day. Officials were alerted to concerns after Neville’s doctor contacted authorities when he missed scheduled medical appointments.

The case remains under investigation, and all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
