Call for donations after teacher, Miss Qeru, was seen talking down on a learner who didn't have pie and juice for lunch at Thembalethu Primary School George [VIDEO]

 

Social media users in South Africa are trying to identify and support a young learner who appeared in a viral classroom video that many say shows him being humiliated by a teacher.

According to posts circulating online, the video was allegedly recorded by a teacher identified as Ms. Qeru at Thembalethu Primary School in George. In the footage, an entire class of learners can be seen with pies and cool drinks on their desks, while one student reportedly did not receive any food.

As the teacher records the classroom, the child appears to hide his face whenever the camera points in his direction, which has sparked outrage and concern among viewers.

Following the video’s circulation, many people online have said they plan to visit the school to donate food, clothing, and money to support the boy.

The situation has fueled conversations about student welfare, dignity, and the responsibility of educators toward learners.
