VIDEO: Eight-Year-Old Girl Among Three Shot on Chicago's 35th and Rhodes; Suspects Flee on Motorbike Before Being Struck by Car

Chicago Police are investigating a triple shooting that took place on the afternoon at approximately 4:48 PM in the 35th and Rhodes area, after officers responded to multiple calls reporting shots fired and several people wounded.

Upon arrival, officers discovered three gunshot victims, one of whom was a young child. An 8-year-old girl, reported to be the daughter of Davonn Wooten, sustained a gunshot wound to the foot and was transported to Comer's Children's Hospital, where she is listed in good condition.

A 24-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds to the chest, arm, and groin and was rushed to Stroger Hospital, where he is currently in fair condition. A 28-year-old woman, reported to be the child's mother, was struck in the knee and was taken to the University of Chicago Hospital, where she is also listed in good condition.

According to Chicago Police, the victims had been standing outside when a dark-colored SUV pulled up and an occupant opened fire before the vehicle fled the scene. In a dramatic turn of events, the suspects who fled on a motorbike were subsequently struck by a car during their escape.

No arrests have been made at this time, and Area Detectives are actively investigating the incident.
